The journey

How she got here.

Fort Worth to Seattle, with a lot of gyms in between. Every stop on the road so far, and the one that has not happened yet.

  1. 2007

    Fort Worth, Texas

    Where it starts. She is a Fort Worth kid, and the nickname arrives long before any ranking does.

  2. Eighth grade

    The first Division I offer

    She was in eighth grade when a Division I program offered her. She says that is the moment she fell in love with basketball.

  3. 2022 to 2024

    Two seasons at DeSoto High School

    As a freshman she starts for a team that reaches the Texas 6A state final and finishes state runner-up, scoring 14 in the final and making the Texas All-State Tournament Team. By her sophomore year she is a four-star recruit and a TABC All-Region pick.

  4. July 2024

    Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff

    She follows coach Andrea Robinson from DeSoto to Faith Family, and plays her junior and senior seasons there on a national schedule.

  5. The summers

    Southwest Select, adidas 3SSB

    Her club team on the adidas 3SSB circuit. Summers on the road, in front of every scout who matters, wearing number 25.

  6. 2024

    The U17 call-up

    Called up to Mexico's U17 National Team pool for the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup.

  7. 2025

    Adidas Eurocamp, Italy

    The game takes her to Italy. Same standard, new continent, and a few young fans who had never seen her play before that week.

  8. November 2025

    Signed with the University of Washington

    She commits in October and signs on November 12, choosing the Huskies and the Big Ten over a long list of offers. She announced it herself, in her own words.

  9. January 2026

    McDonald's All-American Nominee

    Washington Athletics announces her nomination for the McDonald's All-American Game, one of the last honors of a high school career.

    The Washington chapter begins
