AMAYAH
5'11 Combo Guard · Fort Worth, TX · Class of 2026
Amayah "Sunshine" Garcia is a 5'11" combo guard from Fort Worth, Texas — one of the most complete prospects in the class of 2026. She played her high school career at Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff, where she surpassed 1,000 career points and knocked down more than 125 three-pointers, becoming the most decorated player in the program's history.
On the AAU circuit, Amayah played for Southwest Select on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit — one of the most competitive stages in women's grassroots basketball. Her performance across the summer circuit drew attention from programs across the country, with offers from Baylor, UNC, Florida, Indiana, Louisville, Ole Miss, NC State, Georgia, Kansas, and TCU.
Her commitment to the University of Washington came after an official visit that she described simply: "Washington checked off so many boxes — coaching style, play style, academics, player development, culture, team chemistry. I was just like, this is the perfect fit."
Away from basketball, Amayah is known as a leader — in the locker room, in her community, and in her school. The nickname "Sunshine" says it all: she brings energy into every room she walks into.

The Person Behind The Player
Amayah Garcia has never let the recruiting spotlight change who she is. She's the same person in the gym as she is in the classroom, in the community, and with her family. The "Sunshine" nickname didn't come from scouts — it came from the people who know her best.
Leadership is something she's always taken seriously. Whether it's rallying teammates after a tough loss, mentoring younger players in the Fort Worth community, or simply showing up every day with energy and intention — Amayah leads by example.
